If
you're tired of buying and throwing away the cheap plastic wastebasket paper
shredders purchased from the "warehouse" stores every few months, we
have the answer for you! We
offer commercial-grade paper shredders for offices of every size.
There
are so many types and sizes of paper shredders, that selecting one can get
confusing. Give us a call or send an email if you want help determining which
type of paper shredder would be best for you.
We're proud to offer the two best shredder lines available - Oztec and
Dahle.
On the following pages are the specifications for these machines. Or, call us at

The cost of a paper shredder is determined primarily by three characteristics
- shred size (security), speed and capacity. The shred size can be a
strip cut of varying width - 1/4" is a common size. For greater
security, some shredders are "crosscut." The paper is cut both
in length and width producing a confetti-like product. The smaller the
size of these pieces, the greater the level of security.
The speed of a shredder is the number of feet per minute it can
accommodate. The speed is affected by numerous factors, but two of the
main factors are the size of the motor and the size of the shredded
product. The bigger the motor, the faster the speed. But, the
smaller the product, the slower the speed. Two machines may have motors
the same size, but a crosscut shredder may have a lower speed.
The capacity of the shredder is the amount of material it can cut at one
time. Like speed, numerous factors affect capacity. Primarily, the
size of the throat, motor size and shred size determines capacity. A
larger throat size and motor generally increases capacity. The size of the
shred is also a factor, however, and a crosscut machine will have a lower
capacity, all other factors being equal.
When it comes to shred size (security), speed and capacity, there is often a
trade off in features. For a smaller, more secure shred size, there may be
a sacrifice in speed and capacity. Is security most important? Or, is
speed or capacity more important? By prioritizing the importance of shred
size (security), speed and capacity, it is fairly easy to find the right machine
for the right application.
